Elevate Him provides one-on-one support to men experiencing barriers to their success, including men facing incarceration, addiction, unemployment, or emotional isolation. Through personalized services such as suit fittings, grooming services, style coaching, job preparation, leadership development, and resource referrals for employment, counseling, and housing, we bridge the gap between systems and individuals so men can rebuild their lives with dignity, confidence, and hope. Each interaction is designed to create a path toward stability, through authentic, practical support. Our goal is to help men reclaim their sense of self so they can positively impact their families and communities.

Our Story
Elevate Him was born out of profound loss. Over a decade ago, Executive Director Nickole Bishop lost her brother, Bill, to suicide—a devastating moment that changed the course of her life. The night before, they had shared a meal, laughed together, and made plans for the next day. But by morning, he was gone. The pain from losing a loved one to suicide never goes away, nor do the questions. In the years that followed, alongside her grief, Nickole developed a quiet, persistent idea: to create a space where men like her brother—men who are navigating crisis, transition, or isolation—could find hope, dignity, and support. In 2020, that idea became a reality. After stepping away from her longtime career during the COVID-19 pandemic, Nickole answered the call to heal by helping others.
Elevate Him was founded to provide individualized support to men rebuilding their lives after incarceration, addiction, unemployment, and other life struggles. Through human-centered services, Nickole and her team work to build connections, restore men’s confidence, and create opportunities for their long-term success. Their vision is to eliminate suicide in men by creating pathways to mental, emotional, and economic stability. Every suit fitted, every conversation held, every referral made is a step toward preventing another tragedy.
Elevate Him exists to prevent the kind of loss that inspired its creation. The organization is a tribute to Bill, and a voice for others who feel unseen. It is a space where men are reminded they are seen, valued, and never alone. Through support, connection, and hope, despair can transform into possibility. Together, we can turn pain into purpose.
How We Help
Our Services
Men facing incarceration, addiction, unemployment, and in other forms of crisis often fall through the cracks of institutional systems that offer limited emotional support, personal connection, or concrete assistance. With little guidance, emotional validation, or practical resources to help in their transition, these men struggle to reintegrate into society in productive, healthy ways, which can perpetuate cycles of poverty and mental health instability.
Personalized Support
One-on-one appointments, an easy intake process, and genuine conversations that prioritize confidence-building, trust, and respect.
Practical Services
Suit fittings, clothing, haircuts, fashion/style coaching, job prep, and meaningful resource referrals delivered with care and dignity (e.g., gift-wrapped suits, personal attention, celebration photos and story-sharing).
Trusted Community Partnerships
Coordination with 35+ local organizations to provide specialized, human-to-human referrals through a ‘Soft Pass’ .
Wholeness & Mental Wellness
Outreach, group work and dialogue, and resource sharing to support men’s wellbeing.

Through the founder’s lived experience, combined with personal relationships built across institutional and community spaces, we deliver services that create connections with our clients to enable them take the next step in building a healthier life.
Elevate Him provides support that rejects institutional approaches of simply ‘processing’ clients, and instead shows up for clients so they can show up for themselves. We aim to not only help men strengthen the stability in their own lives, but also strengthen families and communities by addressing the root causes that contribute to harmful cycles of emotional isolation, social alienation, addiction, violence, and instability.
